Affordable Warmth flu clinic visits

We coordinate Affordable Warmth networks across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, a part of which includes attending GP flu clinics to talk to people about how to keep warm and well over winter.
Our longstanding Affordable Warmth service aims to reduce both the number of people in fuel poverty and health problems caused by cold or damp homes. As well as increasing the comfort of people in their own homes, we help to reduce avoidable hospital admissions, and ultimately the excess winter death rate.
Over the past few years, we've attended many busy flu clinics across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, talking to people about keeping warm and well over winter. We've helped them control their energy bills, improve the energy efficiency of their properties, switch their energy tariffs, and keep the cold weather at bay.
Funded by the district and county councils across the two counties, we provide free, impartial information and advice as well as access to funding for energy efficiency improvements, and links to lots of other helpful services.
There's no charge to your surgery for this service, and you’ll be providing that little bit of extra help to the residents you serve, which could make all the difference.
We can either simply speak to people as they arrive or leave your surgery or, if space allows, set up a stand with lots of useful information - even some energy-saving gadgets and thermometer cards!
Please contact me to arrange for us to attend one of your flu clinics, or if you'd like any additional information.
