Volunteers

We also have a number of volunteer placements (please see below). Many people have volunteered with us over the years, and have had a very positive and rewarding time. As well as having the specific volunteer vacancies below, we would like to hear from anyone interested in any of the following areas of work:-

  • Visualisation of energy data - tools for making energy and building stock data information more interesting, relevant and accessible.
  • Non-domestic building modelling - the building of tools (based on benchmark models for non-domestic buildings) to facilitate better site energy surveying.
  • Changing the way people engage with buildings - QR codes, NFC chips within buildings that link to information about the building and its services (data, user guidance, videos, maintenance requirements).
  • Web development work - supporting us in the improvement and day-to-day running of our websites such as YouGen and SuperHomes.
  • Online tools and calculators - we host our Simple Carbon Calculator and a home energy assessment tool, which we're always looking to improve and update.
