Data Protection Policy: Our policy is to retain personal data only for so long as it may be required to help you reduice your carbon footprint, use energy more efficiently, learn about renewable energy and climate change or where we believe we are required to retain data for legal purposes. We will only transfer data to other organisations in accordance with our registration and for the purposes indicated in this policy.
The Carbon Workout will be processed by third parties: If you complete the Carbon Workout on this website, data will be processed by a third party host, and the programme will normally seek to create one or more cookies on your computer to enable data to be stored between screens. All such data will however remain under the control of the National Energy Foundation as Data Controller. We are not responsible for the use of any personal data provided to PayPal as a result of "balancing your carbon", or in Payment for any other services (such as LogPile or Training Courses) provided by the Foundation. However as part of the payment process, we are required to forward your e-mail address to PayPal.
Data will not be used for sales purposes: The data that you provide to us will not be used by us for selling purposes. If you suspect that it has been used by third parties for selling activities, please let us know so that we can investigate the circumstances.
General: The National Energy Foundation sites does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user's IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit and the type of browser used. This is collected automatically by our web hosting company (Nildram) and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics which help us to evaluate use of the site.
Cookies: The National Energy Foundation sites does not generally use cookies, other than in the Carbon Workout, although our web hosts may set cookies in accordance with their normal practice in order to ensure the smooth operation of the site.
Right of Access: You have the right to be supplied with a copy of the data which we hold about you, but we may make a charge for providing a copy of this data to you.
