Energy for Good was a programme that we ran in partnership with a number of Local Authorities. Each scheme ran for two years and each was specifically tailored to the area, the requirements of the local authority and the funding available.

Renewable Technology Adviceenergy for good

All these schemes were designed to help people to install renewable technologies in their homes.  We provided a business hours phone line for householders, a ‘vetting’ procedure to create a list of registered installers and a surveying system to enable us to provide suitable advice to each enquirer.   Being independent meant that we were able to tell some people that their homes were too shaded to make Photovoltaics a good option, or not windy enough for a turbine.  However, for some people we told them that a certain technology was just right for them.  Then we told them how much it was likely to cost, we sent them more information, then we found them a couple of installers for quotes and finally we followed up to make sure that they were happy.
