Improving the Use of Energy in Buildings

Welcome to our Schools section.

For over 20 years NEF has worked with teachers and children to educate them about climate change and what they can do about it.  For many years we were at the forefront of energy efficiency and renewables education in schools.  Our Green Energy Machine, a mobile display unit, gave many their first glimpse of Photovoltaics and wind turbines. 

Most of what we did is now included in the national curriculum, either in the science or geography syllabus or as part of PSHE and is no longer as innovative as it once was. 

As a charity it is vital that our work is directed to where we feel it can do most good.  As a consequence we have decided that we will now only work with schools where there is a benefit to the community in which they are sited.
