Energy in your Organisation Training

 

On behalf of Milton Keynes Council, NEF will be delivering "Energy in your Organisation" as part of the "Thimk again" campaign on the following dates:

March 23rd and March 30th: National Energy Centre, Milton Keynes.

The training will be available and FREE to Milton Keynes based organisations, but is also available upon request through our bespoke package.

  ::  About the Training Course     ::  Who should attend

The focus of this is course is on helping you develop a sustainable energy policy for your organisation with a view to reducing its carbon footprint and energy costs.  Through a number of discussions and workshops it aims to help you identify which would be the most appropriate energy policy for your organsation and the practical steps that will help you implement it.

Topics covered will include:-

•  Energy efficiency;

•  Renewable energy

•  Transport

•  Behaviour change

•  Case Studies

•  Carbon neutrality - how can this be achieved - should we offset?

•  A look at the energy policies of other organisations

The day will also incorporate workshops  If delegates have particular issues that they would like to ensure are covered during the day please contact the training manager Sandra Hayes prior to the event .

This course is taught be members of NEF's staff including (on most occasions) our CEO Dr Tim Lunel.

 

 

This course is aimed at those responsible for developing and implementing an Energy or Climate Change Strategy within their organisation.  It will also be of interest to those developing or implementing their organisation's wider Environmental Strategy or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report.

Past delegates have worked in both the private and public sectors and include a Sustainability Manager, Environmental Performance Officer, Climate Change Officer, Office Manager, Senior Energy Education Advisor, Environment Development Officer, Planning and Scheduling Manager and several Consultants.

As part of our CPD programme this course can assist you in meeting your learning objectives.

The course is limited to a maximum of sixteen delegates to allow for effective workshop sessions and to allow plenty of opportunity for delegates to ask questions.  The day will start with registration at 9.30am and end at 16.30pm

By the end of the day delegates should have gained a greater understanding of what might be an appropriate energy policy for their organisation and how they might go about achieving this.
