This course has been approved by the Energy Institute and gives a unique opportunity to learn about Solar Thermal, from an independent expert on the topic.
About the training course
The day is largely based on best practice in regard to the design and integration of solar thermal systems with building services, however it is not intended to be a technically in depth course. Rather it is a one day introduction to Solar Thermal.
Who should attend
Delegates are expected to be specifiers, developers, design consultants, housing stock managers and those generally who need or want to have a good understanding of solar thermal systems.
Please note - this course may not be suitable for specificiers of commercial hot solar water systems, as the main focus is on domestic hot water.
What you will learn
We aim for delegates to leave the course feeling confident in the following topics:
- Selection of the best type of system for different applications
- Calculating effective contribution of solar thermal to heating/hot water
- Practical guidance on the integration of solar thermal
- Grant funding available
Delegates will also be able to network with potential suppliers, with adequate knowledge of the system types and requirements.
What some of our past delegates have said:
"Very informative, good facilities and exciting topics made for a great day of training" - Self Builder
"A very informative course, giving a broad overview of solar thermal technologies and the design and specifications of systems. A knowledgeable tutor helped tremendously" - Energy Efficiency Officer
