Solar Thermal Training

Next course date:
11th September 2008
Venue: Milton Keynes

This Continued Professional Development (CPD) course is being run in conjunction with the Solar Trade Association and is aimed at those considering the use of solar thermal technologies in their construction projects.

::  About the Training Course     ::  Who should attend

The course is aimed at those considering the use of solar thermal technologies in their construction projects or those who may be involved at a specification/design stage of hot water and heating systems. The day is largely based on best practice in regard to the design and integration of solar thermal systems with building services, however it is not intended to a technically in depth course.

Delegates are expected to be potential installers, specifiers, developers, design consultants, housing stock managers and those generally who need or want to have a good understanding of solar thermal systems

As part of our CPD programme, this course can assist you in meeting your learning objectives.

::  What you will Learn     ::  Dates & Registration

Delegates should leave the course feeling confident in the following:-

•  Grant funding available

•  Selection of the best type of system for different applications

•  Calculating effective contribution of solar thermal to heating/hot water

•  Practical guidance on the integration of solar thermal

•  Discussing their requirements with potential suppliers with adequate knowledge of the system types and requirements.

The course tutor, Griff Thomas of Gtec Training has many years experience of designing heating and hot water systems for both domestic & commercial premises, working on many 'off the wall' projects and has recently been involved with the setting of the minimum technical standards for solar thermal installers.
