Delegates
will have the chance to examine the working parts
of a solar thermal system as well as the training
rig used by Schuco to train solar water heating
installers.
The
day is largely based on best practice in regard
to the design and integration of solar thermal
systems with building services, however it is
not intended to a technically
in depth course. Rather it is a one day
introduction to solar thermal.
The course tutor, Griff Thomas knowledge
on designing heating/hot water systems for domestic
and commercial premises, combined with his involvement
in developing minimum technical standards for
installers, makes him an ideal tutor for this
course.

|
Delegates
are expected to be specifiers, developers, design
consultants, housing stock managers and those
generally who need or want to have a good understanding
of solar thermal systems.
This course is not aimed at specificiers of commercial hot solar water systems as the main focus is on domestic hot water.
|
We
aim for delegates to leave the course feeling
confident in the following topics:
Selection of the best type of system for different
applications
Calculating effective contribution of solar thermal
to heating/hot water
Practical guidance on the integration of solar
thermal
Grant funding available
Delegates
will also be able to network with potential suppliers,
with adequate knowledge of the system types and
requirements.
What
some of our past delegates have said:

informative, good facilities and exciting topics
made for a great day of training"

you for a very informative day, please pass on
my thanks to Griff for a good seminar"
