Over the last few years, interest in pellet fuel production and supply has increased dramatically in the UK and Ireland. As part of Pellets@las, an EC-funded project, the National Energy Foundation ran a successful workshop for those wanting to get into the pellet market and for those already in it who wish to develop their business further.

• Choosing a pellet press
• Moveable pellet plants
• Alternative fuels
• Pellet bagging options
• The European pellet market
• Pellet quality and standards
• Marketing pellets

The workshop was targeted at pellet producers, suppliers and large pellet consumers as well as other pellet actors such as mechanical engineers, boiler installers, energy consultants or contractors. The main objective was to gain new pellet actors.
