Phase 2:
Desktop assessment
First we will review all the information gathered during the onsite consultation meeting (including any notes taken or information supplied subsequently), to ensure that all the information is complete and unambiguous. Using an accredited software, this will produce basic data such as the energy consumption of the building and the carbon footprint.
In order to compare the performance of the building, we will then benchmark its performance against average and best practive data of similar buildings. This will help us to assess roughly how much improvement can be achieved and set targets.
Finally we will identify the areas of compliance where legislative constraints for installing selected measures on the site may apply (i.e. planning permissions, Building Regulations, etc).
Feasibility Report
The report will look into the viability of a wide range of energy efficient measures and renewable energy technologies. Each option will be presented with the following details: description of measures, pros and cons, cost of installation, CO2 savings, payback time, cost per CO2 saved over the lifetime of the product. The potential contraints will be clearly laid out so that the customer has a full understanding fo the the limited factors for each measure/technology.
As part of the feasibility report, we will also assess whether each possible measure/technology can benefit from local/national incentives or grants (such as the Feed-in Tariff).
In the last section of the report, we will put forward some recommendations of the most suitable measures/technologies that will benefit the client. This will include an action plan detailing what is the next course of action to take and will include a list of accredited suppliers and installers.
