Affinity Sutton Housing Group - EnergyFit training

We were asked by Affinity Sutton Housing Group to deliver fuel poverty training to the housing association’s staff and develop an appropriate toolkit for its residents.

The aims of Affinity Sutton Housing Group were to:

  • Understand who is at risk of fuel poverty and to identify tenants who might need help.
  • Recognise fuel poverty indicators over the phone/in the residents’ homes, or in the community.
  • Engage with residents to discuss fuel poverty either over the phone or face-to-face.
  • Know about and identify which of the EnergyFit toolkit items are appropriate for individual residents.
  • Be aware of all options for referrals, and to identify which are needed for any particular situation.
  • Understand what fuel poverty is and the difficulties related to achieving sustainable energy bills.

The services we provided:

A facilitated session to help gain ideas and build the resources needed for the EnergyFit toolkit.
The roll-out of hands-on briefing sessions to disseminate information and training on the toolkit that had been developed in the previous facilitated session.
