The National Energy Foundation helped two of our customers, Jerry Green Dog Rescue and Westwood Farm, by completing an Independent Report on Metering Arrangements assessment as part of their RHI applications. NEF staff visited both sites with me and completed the assessment on time and within budget. Both customers are now in receipt of their RHI payments. Ambervale has no hesitation in recommending the National Energy Foundation and I can’t thank them enough.
The National Energy Foundation enabled South Bucks District Council to manage a very challenging project across 14 local authorities, 58 different installers plus many different organisations and community and residents groups. This enabled 577 households to benefit from improved energy efficiency and better living conditions. The Foundation managed to bring over £4.3 million of investment into improved insulation, and delivered a complex project to a conclusion within the Government timescales whilst addressing changing market conditions and requirements. NEF’s expertise and, in particular, the skill, commitment and determination of Sandra Hayes (NEF Project Manager) were essential to the successful delivery of this project, and in making it an overall success.
We successfully partnered with the National Energy Foundation to provide our Independent Reports on Metering Arrangements and heat loss calculations, essential for us to receive the Renewable Heat Incentive. The Foundation also helps us with RHI application support; saving us time, effort and cost.
Cherwell District Council's Bicester Delivery team was exceptionally happy with the service NEF provided. We aimed to deliver a boiler cashback scheme to the public that was easy to take up by residents and not have loads of administrative hurdles. That was achieved - thanks to NEF.
NEF did a good piece of work for us on the gas network analysis, and we were pleased with the report they produced. It explored the viability of extending the local gas network, answered a number of questions for us and also provided some avenues for further consideration.
Boundary Way was a complex project as it involved private and social housing customers and a number of different funding agencies. The project team worked hard to ensure that as many customers as possible could benefit from external wall insulation. The result both enhances the look of the homes as well as achieving environmental benefits and financial savings for customers.
NEF staff worked hard to coordinate the Boundary Way project over a large and diverse area, liaising between the householder, the contractor, the partners and DECC as the key funder. They helped to ensure the project met its objectives - despite various challenges - including changes to Green Deal funding.
Well done and thanks for all your hard work and for coping with the hair-pulling-out moments to make the Boundary Way project happen.
It's been great working with the National Energy Foundation, especially in terms of technical ability, value for money and added value - and I would highly recommend NEF to other potential customers.
The National Energy Foundation delivers the business, and more!
The National Energy Foundation provided an excellent and flexible service, carrying out well-rated training to our staff on energy efficiency
It was a pleasure to work with the National Energy Foundation.
Staff at the National Energy Foundation are very professional and deliver great work.
I have always found NEF staff exceptionally helpful and professional in delivering the services we need. In terms of local government, which is currently undergoing such massive changes, having the confidence in NEF being able to deliver services on our behalf, where needed, is invaluable.
Great value and high customer service standards separate the NEF Affordable Warmth service from other market offerings.
The National Energy Foundation has provided outstanding work through the Affordable Warmth Network it runs for Buckinghamshire.
The information provided during the fuel poverty workshop would be extremely valuable to any housing association wanting to go the extra mile for its tenants and leaseholders.
The National Energy Foundation plays a pivotal part in bringing together key organisations to form the Oxfordshire Affordable Warmth Network, working together to tackle fuel poverty. The Foundation delivers a wide variety of services, including presentations to community groups, attending outreach events and flu vaccinations clinics, training front-line council staff and, above all, a free telephone advice line. The Affordable Warmth Helpline offers free and impartial advice on all aspects of saving energy and managing fuel bills and, in doing so, provides an invaluable service to vulnerable residents. It's a huge help to me on a daily basis to be able to refer residents to a single point of contact which I am confident will deal with queries comprehensively and provide excellent customer service.
You are wonderful, thank you. This whole procedure from start to finish could not have run more smoothly and you could not have been more helpful. I thank you and Giles Mason (Cherwell District Council) for making this such an easy process and wish you and your families a safe and relaxing very Happy Christmas. With very best wishes.
A professional but personal approach, assisting the successful delivery of Affordable Warmth benefits for both residents within Aylesbury Vale and those served with their delivery. Always a pleasure to work with those at the National Energy Foundation!
The Affordable Warmth Network provided by the National Energy Foundation has met our expectation and continues to provide an excellent service for our residents. It also provides us with a consistent and simple referral route and the confidence that residents will get the best possible advice.
The NEF staff at the Bucks Affordable Warmth project team are proactive in developing new projects and seeking funding opportunities to tackle fuel poverty. They have made a real difference to affordable warmth services in the district and across the county.
The NEF staff at the Bucks Affordable Warmth project team have an excellent understanding of the issues faced by the fuel poor and are genuinely committed to achieving affordable warmth for the residents of Buckinghamshire.
The Bucks Affordable Warmth Network is well-managed and coordinated by the National Energy Foundation. It has been successful in external funding and on the delivery of projects; it is a beneficial resource to the region.
The National Energy Foundation provided an excellent service in supporting East Hampshire District Council to deliver its Green Town aspirations for the regeneration of Whitehill & Bordon. They helped us take another step along a journey in securing higher environmental standards for the town, specifically identifying activities which the Council could undertake with project partners to influence the planning and development process. I would recommend the National Energy Foundation to other local authorities wishing to take the lead on raising environmental standards within new and existing communities.
Very professional and good service offered.
The National Energy Foundation is an excellent, forward-thinking organisation. The project was well-structured and communication with participants was first class. I was very happy with the professional, yet personal, communication with the Foundation's staff.
Very happy with the service provided. The National Energy Foundation staff members were knowledgeable and competent.
First class service provided by the National Energy Foundation. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with them. They delivered what they said they would.
Very satisfied with the overall service provided by the National Energy Foundation. It was a pleasure to work with them. The staff members were helpful and knowledgeable.
The Climate Champions training was highly successful and has led to a good degree of enthusiasm to support the roll-out of similar sessions.
I was very pleased with the professional way in which the National Energy Foundation managed our energy incentive grant. Their speed of response to any queries or requests for reports was impressive and their marketing ideas were terrific – the dog in the pink cardigan was great. I would highly recommend them.
Had the council administered the grant itself, its estimated administrative costs would have been at least £20,000. The incentive grant was administered and fully managed by the National Energy Foundation, therefore saving around £16,500.
I found the training informative and interesting. Excellent presentation, very useful information. I found the session on fuel poverty very useful.
Without experts such as those from the National Energy Foundation at international standards meetings, it would be very hard to influence the outcome of standards to reflect the needs of UK industry.
I found the service we received from the National Energy Foundation excellent. The report provided a valuable framework against which we can procure sustainable systems for our new-build homes.
The National Energy Foundation team has been an integral part of our business. It has consistently performed well and has been active in suggesting ways of improving our business.
I'd like to thank you for arranging for one of your staff to come along today to initiate our senior management climate change awareness programme. He was excellent, the material was fresh and interesting, and I was complimented on setting up the event by the Chief Executive and my portfolio holder, which is great! Please could you pass on our thanks - it is really nice to work with such a professional organisation!
